This is a fun, educational experience for robotics teams to hear from seasoned FIRST members and mentors, as well as get excited about the upcoming FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) and FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) season! This year’s overall theme, “Back to Basics”, will feature presentations that are for FRC and FTC, as well as some that are cross-program topics. This event is open to all members of FTC and FRC teams. In addition to our team planning to attend, two of our students will present at three sessions. Senior, Kaia W., will lead basic and advanced computer-aided design workshops while junior, Daniel Q., and mentor, Alex H., will offer an overview of swerve drivetrains. Mentor, Carl L., will present four sessions on coding and one on running a coding subteam. Purdue FIRST Forums will take place this year in the Neil Armstrong Hall of Engineering and the Forney Hall of Chemical Engineering on Purdue University’s campus. Doors open at 9 AM. Opening speakers start at 9:30 AM.
